Cosmetic vaginal surgery in general has steadily increased in popularity worldwide, with procedures that were once seen as taboo now commonly requested. Vaginal rejuvenation is one of the procedures least talked about, yet growing numbers of women have chosen to undergo this procedure at our clinic in Nairobi.

“Designer vagina” is the collective term for any cosmetic surgical procedure performed on the vagina, with the aim of improving its shape, size and ultimately, its function. In a way, patients see this as a means to rejuvenate their vagina, an area they want to see improved or at least go back as they knew it before giving birth.

Procedures in this area that we commonly perform at Dr. Stasch Clinic include labiaplasty and vaginal tightening, collectively known as vaginoplasty.

The spectrum of surgeries ranges from corrective vaginal surgery due to birth trauma (e.g. tears causing scars and loose tissues) to the reduction of the labia minora (the inner lips) which might be too large and cause discomfort and pain, e.g. during sports or intercourse, or chafing from your underwear or clothing. In these cases, surgery improves not only the shape but also relieves women’s problems they are facing due to their conditions.

On the other end of the spectrum are ops aimed to purely improve the look and feel of the patients’ vaginas. In these cases, the desire to improve the aesthetic aspect of this body region plays an important role in the woman’s psychological well being which will come with a higher self esteem, more confidence and joy during sexual encounters, and an improved self-image.
