Eyelid Lift Surgery for Men

Blepharoplasty is a procedure to smoothen the skin around your eyes and improve your eyes´ appearance, making them look younger, brighter and refreshed. The procedure involves removing fat deposits, excess skin and muscle from around your eyes, to give them a more open look.

Problem areas include loose skin and puffiness around your eyes which may have appeared due to ageing, smoking and excessive weight loss. Sometimes vision is impaired by the drooping skin and a blepharoplasty can improve your visual fields too.

You can have an upper, lower or upper plus lower blepharoplasty. An upper blepharoplasty is also known as upper eyelid surgery as it removes drooping layers of skin and wrinkles above your eye. A lower blepharoplasty is called eye bag removal as it removes sagging skin and puffiness underneath your eyes.

We often perform this procedure in combination with a male facelift surgery, and also with a browlift, which will pull up the eyebrows, opening the eyes to allow for a more youthful, refreshed look.

A blepharoplasty is performed under local anaesthetic and sedation or general anaesthetic and takes around one or two hours, as a Daycase procedure.
