Diabetes poses a lot of problems to the body – one of them is delayed healing of the limbs, especially the feet and toes after injury. Even small wounds can cause dramatic problems including infection that can lead to amputation of the toe, foot, or even the whole leg.
Therefore, it is important to treat wounds of the diabetic foot early and expertly, to prevent complications. We offer conservative wound therapy as well as surgical expertise including debridement of wounds, VAC therapy and fat grafting (stem cells), and in selected cases local flap therapy in order to heal chronic wounds of the foot.
