Treatment may be unsuitable, postponed or require additional caution in patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain neuromuscular disorders, have an active infection near the proposed treatment area, previously experienced a serious reaction to a similar treatment, or take medicines that may affect muscle function, bleeding or treatment response.

Do not seek additional treatment elsewhere before the initial result has been reviewed, unless medically necessary. Additional treatment is not automatically required and is only considered where clinically appropriate.

Because the effect is temporary, most patients choose repeat treatment after muscle activity and expression lines have returned. Results take around two to three weeks to fully develop, though you will typically notice changes within 5 to 10 days. Effects generally last 3 to 4 months before gradually wearing off as new nerve endings form. With repeated treatments over time, results can last progressively longer, sometimes up to 6 months.
