Job Title:
Clinic Nurse
Are you a professional, evidence-driven nurse passionate about delivering exemplary care and advancing patient outcomes? We are seeking a Clinic Nurse to join our dynamic team at Dr. Stasch Clinic & MediSpa. This role plays a crucial part in the daily operations of our clinic, supporting both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Job Summary:
As a Clinic Nurse, you will work closely with our Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Consultants and the wider clinic team to provide top-tier patient care. From pre- and post-operative support to cosmetic treatments and administrative duties, your role will be essential in ensuring exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care
- Provide exemplary care for all patients, ensuring 95% satisfaction in post-treatment surveys.
- Perform pre- and post-operative care, including medical evaluations, pre-op preparations, stitch/dressing removal, and follow-up care, aiming for 100% completion of scheduled follow-up appointments.
- Conduct cosmetic services and treatments following established protocols and policies, with zero incidents of non-compliance.
- Evaluate patient suitability for treatments and educate them on additional services, aiming for 90% patient engagement in additional service offerings.
Team Support
- Assist consultants during procedures and surgeries, following their instructions, aiming for 100% compliance with procedural requirements.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and surgery suites, maintaining a cleanliness rating of 100% during inspections.
- Maintain treatment room cleanliness and readiness between patients, ensuring no delays in patient care due to room setup.
Administrative Duties
- Greet patients, manage patient documentation & information sheets, and ensure accurate data entry in the EMR system, maintaining 100% accuracy in patient records.
- Maintain consumable inventory, organize supplier orders, and manage stock with a goal of 0% stockouts.
- Compile, update, and adhere to SOPs for all nursing-related procedures, aiming for 100% compliance with SOP audits.
Professional Development
- Attend all mandatory medical and operational meetings, achieving 100% attendance.
- Pursue CPD/CME opportunities and actively seek training to enhance skills, aiming for at least 40 hours of professional development annually.
- Renew practicing licenses regularly, ensuring 100% on-time renewals.
Other Responsibilities
- Safeguard patient confidentiality and property, with no breaches reported.
- Train new and existing team members , ensuring 100% of new hires complete training within the first 30 days.
- Represent the clinic as a positive role model, maintaining high patient satisfaction ratings.
- Perform other related duties as required, contributing to improved clinic operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification
- Registered Nurse qualification from a recognized school of nursing or university.
- Valid licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a busy healthcare facility.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear communication with patients and team members.
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and passionate about patient engagement, with a goal of achieving 90%+ positive patient feedback.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, ensuring effective communication and coordination with colleagues.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and situational awareness, with the ability to resolve 95% of patient issues on the first contact.
- Proficient in computer applications and EMR systems, ensuring 100% data accuracy.
- Well-organized, with excellent time management skills, contributing to on-time patient care delivery.
- Emotionally intelligent and adaptive to fast-paced environments, maintaining high levels of performance in stressful situations.
